NEW ARTISTS ADDED TO POSITIVUS FESTIVAL LINE-UP

SAINt JHN, EarthGang, Ari Lennox, Georgia, Yves Tumor & Its band, Black Midi, Flohio, Working Men’s Club, JC Stewart and Beissoul & Einius are added to Positivus festival line-up alongside previously announced A$AP Rocky, James Blake and Of Monsters and Men.

SAINt JHN, former songwriter for such artists as Usher, Jidenna, Hoodie Allen, etc. became more known to his audience with such remarkable collaborations as Brown Skin Girl with Beyonce or Borders with Lenny Kravitz. At the moment one of the best-known hits in the world is the remix of his song Roses.

Hip hop duo Earthgang (aka WowGr8 and Olu) is a member of Draamville Records while actively being a part of Atlanta based creative collective Spillage Village. Their most honourable collaboration so far is the co-project with Young Thug – Proud of You.

American singer-songwriter Ari Lennox at the moment is one of the most distinctive voices in pop. Her inspiration comes from such strong female vocals as Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday and Whitney Houston. The artist’s debut album Shea Butter Baby was nominated for the Soul Train Awards.

One of the hottest artists in this year’s summer festivals Georgia on her eclectic electronic dance music she references the relentlessly inventive global soundscapes of MIA and the shape-shifting production style of Hudson Mohawke. She describes herself as a “post-punky hip-hop soul”. About her popular hit About Work the Dancefloor she says: “It was one of those songs I wrote and it was instantly like, this could potentially be a single”

Yves Tumor & Its band, visually a glamorous grotesque, musically incorporating many genres and sounds, always take care of an outstanding live show and it is impossible to take eyes off of it. Their previous album, Safe in the Hands of Love, was named as the best new album by Pitchfork and complimented by a sold-out tour in Europe. Next album – Heaven to a Tortured Mind – will be available on 3rd of April.

One of the hottest last year summer festival groups – EN rock band from London Black Midi musically is heading back to a more esoteric era of indie with a magnetic and dazzling style. They synthesize experimental rock, math rock, noise rock and post-punk. Their latest album Schlagenheim is named as one of the best 10 albums of the year 2019 by NY Post, ranking it besides Lana Del Rey, Bon Iver and Billie Eilish albums.

Flohio with a release of her first EP Wild Yout solidified her reputation as one of the UK’s most important genre-bending voices. The British-Nigerian artist, rapper and songwriter from South London builds on the blueprint of UK rap and pulls in references that span the brelectronic music, being one of the hottest grime artists at the moment.

Group Working Men’s Club works in the field of groovy post-punk music influenced by both:  techno-style and jazzy piano reefs. Though the group was founded recently, its members have already shown themselves with two powerful hits: post-punk-style Bad Blood and electro-style Teeth.

Northern Irish singer/songwriter, JC Stewart has a stirring presence and a heartbreakingly soulful voice. With storytelling at the heart of his captivating writing, the Professional Sadboy, as he calls himself, is brimming with talent and charm. His latest single, Have You Had Enough Wine? has received recognition from both, music critics and audience.

The newest pop sensation from Lithuania – duo Beissoul & Einius calls themselves the Fashion Icons Of The Electronic Scene. At live concerts they combine amazing charisma, plastique, hypnotic electronics and surreal costumes. Their last concert was attended by 7000 people and on Positivus we will see the live performance of their hottest single Rooftop!

For the 14th time Positivus festival will be held in a beautiful coastal venue in Salacgriva on July 17th & 18th and it is expected that thanks to this year’s impressive artist line-up it will become one of the most visited festivals in its history.
